HARDSCAPE GUARANTEE
Our retaining walls, paver patios, steps, ano edging will be guaranteed from defects for 5 years from date of installation.
SETTLING*
Because we have little control over preexisting site conditions, we cannot assume responsibility for settling on any construction site.
For exemple we cannot guarantee damage caused by but not limited to:
- Foundation backfill settling
- Underground utilities
- Roof water runoff
- Frozen or clogged drain tile
- Surface runoff from driveways and roads
- Irrigation leaks
- Natural events i.e Rain, flooding, etc.
- Clogged downspouts
UNDERGROUND UTILITIES
Markgren Landscape Group, Inc. will not be responsible for damage caused to unmarked utilities not covered by DIGGERS HOTLINE!
Utilities such as irrigation pipes and wires, invisible fencing, electrical feeds to outbuildings, landscape lighting, ponds, fountains or accessories, etc. are considered 'personal' lines and will not be covered by DIGGERS HOTLINE! Repair costs to such ' personal ' lines are the homeowners responsibility.
NOTICE OF LIEN RIGHTS
As required by Wisconsin construction lien law, Makgren Landscape Group, Inc. hereby notifies you that persons or companies furnishing labor or materials for construction on your land may have lien rights on your land and buildings if not paid. Those entitled to lien rights in addition to Markgren Landscape Group, Inc. include any who contract directly with you or those who give you notice 60 days after they first furnish labor or materials for your construction. Any notices received should be copied and given to your mortgage lender, if applicable. We agree to cooperate with you and your lender, if any, to see all potential lien claimants are duly paid.

Markgren Landscape Group, Inc. is a well respected nursery dealer and landscape contractor serving western Wisconsin. We are dedicated to providing and maintaining the highest standards of the nursery and landscape industry.
Our goal is to provide functional and creative landscape designs backed by experienced installation specialists and qualified maintenance personnel.
We use hardy nursery stock grown by some of the finest nurseries in the Midwest . Our construction materials are provided by a select group of suppliers and dealers all of whom carry standards meeting and/or exceeding industry specifications.

QUALITY CONTROL
All materials are guaranteed to be as specified in the quantities listed. Substitutions of similar appearance and value will be made at the discretion of the contractor wih permission of the owner should the availability of plant or construction materials substantially delay or prevent timely completion of a job. All work is guaranteed and performed in a manner meeting or exceeding manufacturer specifications and installation procedures.
Any significant alterations or deviations from the approved design requiring changes in costs will be executed only upon proper authorization and will be charged accordingly with respect to the contracted price. All agreements are contingent upon accidents, adverse weather conditions, availability of specified materials and delays beyond our control.
TIMELINES
We do our bests to install on a first come first serve basis. Please be patient with us as landscaping in our area is a dynamic business with many variables i.e. weather, change orders, personnel requirements, etc. These variables may add significant time to a project. We try to update our clients to the status of their installation. Please understand we will do our best to install your project when you are told, but changes do occur which may delay a project as little as a day or two and on occasion up to a week or more.
INSURANCE
Markgren Landscape Group, Inc. carries general liability and Workmen's Compensation Insurance.
Homeowners are responsible for insurance to cover fire, theft, wind damage, flooding, and vandalism.
PLANT GUARANTEE
3 month Full Replacement
We will replace once without charge any tree, shrub, evergreen, hardy perennial or woody vine that fails to grow within 3 months from date of installation and/or purchase Plants in question purchased and/or planted after August 3Oth will be evaluated and if necessary, may be re placed as soon as appropriate the following spring should they fail to show active bud growth. Perennials will be guaranteed for 3 months only!
12 months Plants Only
All zone hardy plants (excluding perennials) will be guaranteed for one year from date of installation and/or purchase. Labor to replace plants after 3 months (unless otherwise noted) will be charged at our general hourly rate.
CLAIMS
All claims and losses must be reported within the guarantee period and confirmed by an authorized representative of Markgren Landscape Group, Inc. Replacement plants are not guaranteed . We will not replace plants killed by rodents, insects, mechanical damage, owner neglect, or natural disasters. We cannot guarantee plants in pots, planter boxses, annual lowers, non hardy perennials, seeds, bulbs, azaleas, rhododendrons, roses, or any plant which may have been transplanted on the owners property or is not listed as hardy to Zone 4. There will by no guarantee for plants, materials, or labor with Jobs not paid in full by the contracted date.
LAWN GUARANTEE
We use only the finest bluegrass sod and seed varieties available, however, we cannot control the weather, soil conditions, fertilization, or subsequent care and watering all of which determine the ultimate success or failure of a lawn. Sod and seed is guaranteed viable upon the day of installation only.
